Read VS Shared

The BBC news website has a section showing at each moment what the most read articles, and which ones people share the most. I find  it amusing to observe the differences between what people read, and what people want to share about what they read.

So here is an example I found the other day. Next is the list of the the top 5 articles that people shared with other readers:

Not surprising… personality tests, entertainment, and… kittens make the top 3 most shared articles. This is what people told other people to read.

But what where people actually reading that day? Here is the top for most read articles at the same moment.

They were reading sex, death, and violence. Not surprising either, one is forced to admit.
